In this MOTHER'S DAY skit, two sisters are trying to decide what to do for Mom on Mother's Day. (could easily be 2 brothers) They toss ideas back and forth but nothing seems right. What they really want to do is something that is really on their mother's heart. One of them gets her prayer journal and begins reading her personal prayers, as the other one objects to this invasion of privacy. But when they hear what their mom prays for each of them... they quickly sober up to the truth that the best present would be for them to change some things about themselves.

They have a great time doing holiday type things and Becky's friend learns a lot about the true meaning of Christmas and what it means to have Jesus put a song in your heart.

This CHRISTMAS play is basically a shorter version of "The Right Connection" It has been shortened from the 50 minutes and has fewer characters. The story and dialogue is almost identical about the girls basketball team having a weekend retreat close to Christmas. As they gather, they talk about how their lives have been since high school and all the changes. One girl in particular had the biggest change of all, a complete transformation. The Christmas message is not as strong as the gospel message which is shared and two of the characters get saved.

Abigail And Martha

This is a short 5 minute INDEPENDENCE DAY sketch about a meeting between Abigail Adams and Martha Washington. The meeting and the words spoken are fiction but the letter that Abigail reads is an actual letter from her husband, John Adams, written on the day of the vote for independence from Great Britain. The letter is long and the bulk of the sketch. Not much to memorize. This skit is also found in the larger productions of "Founders of Freedom" and "God Bless Our Land". There is a longer version with more actors called, "The Patriots: Abigail and Martha".

2 actresses. 5 mintues.

Count All My Blessings
$15.00
Add to Cart
This short drama is about taking the time to count your blessings and be thankful for what you have. A window clerk at the post office hears one sad story after another that makes her think twice about her own complaints. The humor comes from the actress playing the clerk, as she hears the stories, she begins to become emotional and then loses control of her emotions when she hears the fifth story. The point is clearly made... and you can go out with a laugh as this poor woman loses it.

A skit done with 3 actors of any gender about someone dreaming of the rapture and going to heaven. This is written as 3 women, but it can easily be 3 men or a mixed cast. A woman falls asleep waiting for the auto club and finds herself waiting in line to have her luggage taken and shrunk down to what is actually worthwhile. (She goes from a 3 piece set to a small make-up bag) A couple of angels meet her and help her along till it's time to wake up and realize it was all a dream. The message can be about doing those things that really count for eternity and also being ready at any time to go before the Lord.

Lip Service
$10.00

This is another sketch about Marguerite, the make-up girl. This time Marguerite is a smaller part as the skit starts with two women from church who meet at the make-up counter and begin talking. It starts out as a pretty normal conversation until one of the women shares a prayer request that is supposed to be kept private. As she leaves, another lady from church shows up and the information is shared, but not very accurately. By the time Marguerite hears it, it is totally wrong and she always gets things mixed up anyway because she is foreign and doesn't always understand what is being said. What ends up being a serious case of gossip turns into a funny end when the original woman returns to be greeted by a distraught Marguerite. This is similar to the sketch "Lipstick".

5 females (one part is very small) about 15 mins. Learn More
Lipstick
$10.00
Add to Cart
Loose lips sink ships, as they say. This sketch is about speaking out of turn and how easily something shared becomes gossip. Marguerite is giving free make-up demonstrations and two ladies from church come to get their faces done. Personal things get shared and what should be sad is actually funny. You see, Marguerite is foreign and she doesn't always understand what is being said and often gets things wrong. Sometimes humor is the best way to get the point across. Liver spots on a mother's hands become spots on her own liver and they begin to talk about her death. A lip injection is mistaken to be a liposuction. You will have fun teaching this important lesson and get made over at the same time. This is similar to the sketch "Lip Service".

3 actresses. About 14-15 mins. Learn More
Never Ending Reality Of Being There

This short skit is about a guy sitting on a park bench when an old friend sits down next to him and surprises him. The reason he is so surprised is because the friend had died. You figure that out as the story goes on and that this friend has come back from hell to ask the guy why he didn't tell him about Jesus. Something to make you think.

Two actors. Could be two males or two females. Only 5 minutes. Learn More
Prayers of Christmas Past
$15.00

This is a sketch that focuses more on prayer than Christmas.... but it takes place at Christmas. Beth is a middle aged woman who is very stressed out and has become doubtful of God hearing and answering her prayers. She falls asleep and wakes up to see a messenger of God who has come to help her. He/she takes her into her past (like A Christmas Carol) to see herself as a child, a bride, a young mother and then into the future to see herself as an older woman. As she watches herself pray, the angel reminds her that those prayers were heard and answered. This renews her faith and brings her strength and comfort.

6 actors (all female, or the angel could be male. Also... the little girls could be played by the same actress) About 15-17 mins.

The Right Connection

Are you looking for something that is all or mostly all females? Here is a script that has a new low price that you might like!

A girl's high school basketball team has a three year reunion in the mountains in a cabin around Christmas time. As the girls arrive for the weekend, we see that only some of the girls are Christians. It doesn't take long to figure out that the coach, Joanie, has become a believer since they were all together. The most popular girl, Lindsay, who was the one with the most potential, has arrived a bit battered by an abusive new husband. Most of the girls are hoping that Lexi ("The freak")doesn't show up, but when she does, all are stunned by her undeniably drastic change. She is now a radiant, beautiful Christian. Sara, the team champion, gets saved after hearing Lexi's dramatic testimony, and Lindsay follows her in making the same decision. A very strong salvation message with some tie-ins to Christmas along with some carol singing by the girls. The title is taken from a line in the play where Sara, who wants to go pro, can't seem to make the right connections. She learns that Jesus is the only connection she really needs. There is a shorter version of this play (15-20 mins) with fewer characters called, "A Weekend Before Christmas".

Cast of 12 females and one male (small part) about 50-55 mins. Learn More

Bertha and Sheri are two sisters who are planning a Christmas party. Bertha is very worried about things getting done while Sheri is more focused on her quiet time with God. As you may have guessed, these two characters are based on the sisters, Mary and Martha in the Bible. As they try to work together, more problems occur and they finally realize that God has other plans and they end up inviting a needy family rather than their friends. There are two obvious main characters and a few extras at the end with just a few lines. The Christmas theme can easily be taken out for a non-seasonal time.

Wise Women Still Seek Him
$15.00

Three Christian women are out Christmas shopping and begin to feel the pressure and stress of the holiday and it's commercialism. When they see a search light and wonder what sale is going on, they discover a walk-through nativity and begin to think about the real meaning of Christmas. They pray together and head for the manger. This is very loosely based on the wise men following the star to Bethlehem. Several humorous lines.

3 Actresses. About 5-6 mins. No set... takes place standing on a street corner, where most of the surroundings can be imagined. Learn More
