Frank and Edith show up to church one Sunday and can't figure out why no one is in the sanctuary. They see new carpet and follow it to a brand new sanctuary full of people. Apparently, they had been on a few cruises and for various reasons had missed quite a bit of church and didn't even know this was happening. As they sit and wait for the service to begin, they discuss ideas on how the church could promote the new building and get people to come. As usual, they don't always have the best attitude or spirit about things.

Frank and Edith are at it again! This time they are trying to keep out of the whole Christmas scene at church, but they get asked to do stuff anyway. They agree, but only because they don't want to look bad. Edith is supposed to find a baby Jesus for the manger scene, and Frank is to read something at the end of the program. What he reads is the truth of why Jesus came and for a second you think it got through to them both. But not these two... one beat later... they are right back on their own hypocritical soap box. We laugh at them because it rings so true, and sometimes it rings a little too close to home.
