They have a great time doing holiday type things and Becky's friend learns a lot about the true meaning of Christmas and what it means to have Jesus put a song in your heart.

This play tries to tackle the big question of why God allows suffering. In the opening scene, Sarah dies. She is surrounded by her loving, Christian family. (her parents and sister) As the story continues, we meet some of Sarah's friends who talk about her death. Some of them are believers and some are not. One compares her death to her father's sudden loss of employment. This man, Tom, is very bitter and angry about his situation, and even though his wife is a believer, he will not allow her to talk about God or try to say that this is part of God's plan or His working in Tom's life. Besides the young adults talking, we also have the parents from the two families meeting together. In the final scene, Sarah's father, Brian shares with Tom and Tom's heart begins to soften. Throughout the play there is a lot of witnessing and sharing of the gospel.
Cast of 12 actors (5 male, 7 female). The young adults are probably in their 20's or at least late teens. About an hour long.

This sketch is perfect for your Easter production or during a celebration of the Lord's Supper. This is taken from scripture and basically just arranged dramatically. It is not the whole story of what happened at the Last Supper, but more of some of Christ's teaching that night taken from the gospel of John. This script is free and it is here in it's entirety. You can just copy and paste it to your own document, or add it to cart if you are also purchasing another script.
12 actors would be ideal. (Jesus and 11 disciples)

This short Christmas skit is for three teens and small parts for two adults. The teens can be any gender and the two adults are probably female... to be two mothers. This takes place at a Christmas event or function, where some youth just start talking loudly to each other and getting everyone's attendance. The conversation turns a bit controversial when one of the kids starts talking about boycotting gift giving this year.
Cast of 5. (3 youth, 2 adults) About 6-7 mins.

Frank and Edith show up to church one Sunday and can't figure out why no one is in the sanctuary. They see new carpet and follow it to a brand new sanctuary full of people. Apparently, they had been on a few cruises and for various reasons had missed quite a bit of church and didn't even know this was happening. As they sit and wait for the service to begin, they discuss ideas on how the church could promote the new building and get people to come. As usual, they don't always have the best attitude or spirit about things.
2 actors. About 8-10 mins.

This is a sketch that focuses more on prayer than Christmas.... but it takes place at Christmas. Beth is a middle aged woman who is very stressed out and has become doubtful of God hearing and answering her prayers. She falls asleep and wakes up to see a messenger of God who has come to help her. He/she takes her into her past (like A Christmas Carol) to see herself as a child, a bride, a young mother and then into the future to see herself as an older woman. As she watches herself pray, the angel reminds her that those prayers were heard and answered. This renews her faith and brings her strength and comfort.
6 actors (all female, or the angel could be male. Also... the little girls could be played by the same actress) About 15-17 mins.

This is a humorous sketch where you can have fun acting like an Italian mafia family. The mafia controls the whole town, and all the businesses pay them for their protection. When they ask a local church to pay up, the pastor refuses. The play begins with the pastor being brought to the godfather's home, tied and gagged. We see the godfather's wife and kids and the goons that work for him and even though it wasn't suppose to happen this way, the pastor sees this as an opportunity to share the love of God with the godfather and his wife. Hearts are softened.
9 actors. (6 male, 3 female) Takes about 10-12 mins.

This is a one-act play that is a non-stop action and dialog story that tells of the roaring twenties era and the silent film industry. The entire play takes place on the set of a silent movie. Somewhat humorous, the comedy is mostly in the actions and in the characterizations. Many of the parts are very stereotypical with the stressed out director, his silly, blonde girlfriend who wants to be a star, actors who don't get a long and a PR person who wants to bend the truth for the sake of publicity. The story takes an interesting turn as a reporter arrives from a Christian publication doing a story about the truth of Hollywood movie makers. A spiritual conversation takes place and it turns out, one of the actors has turned from their upbringing and ends up coming back to God.
12 actors (written as 6 male, 6 female, but some genders could be changed easily. Only 4 characters really need to be female.) About 35-45 mins.
